Mis­sion

“Build­ing Robots, Build­ing People”

Our mis­sion state­ment.  It was cho­sen by pop­u­lar demand from input of the entire team due to its brief­ness and sim­plic­ity.  Our team’s short term goals include build­ing and com­pet­ing with a robot that meets the annual FRC chal­lenge, whereas our long term goal—and ulti­mate purpose—is to inspire future high school stu­dents in sci­ence and engi­neer­ing as a result of their expe­ri­ences with FIRST.  1425 encour­ages stu­dents to learn a vari­ety of skills in engi­neer­ing, men­tor other stu­dents (FTC, FLL, etc.), and vol­un­teer in the com­mu­nity in roles that sup­port the FIRST program.

Vision

“Team 1425 strives to pro­vide oppor­tu­ni­ties for high school stu­dents to learn aspects of engi­neer­ing, robot­ics, and inno­v­a­tive design through the FIRST pro­gram and to share our enthu­si­asm for FIRST with the Wilsonville community.”
